In Ukraine there is one very interesting team which dominates for the past 10 years. This is not Dinamo Kiev, we are talking about Shakhtar Donetsk. We are sure that all of you heard about this team as they are on the European scene for the past few years, achieving great results. In season 2008/2009 they won the UEFA Cup, nowadays known as Europa League.
But in this article we are not going to write about what they won or achieved, we are going to write about the club policy and why the team is so important for the modern football. What is the role of the club and how they manage to succeed in so many fields in the past few seasons. There is no doubt that in Shakhtar are playing world class players but in the future they will continue producing such players, just like they did it in the past years. In the next following paragraphs, we will give you a full list of amazing individuals who came from this club.
Maybe all of you heard for Fernandinho. The great Man City player was playing for this club a few seasons ago when finally he was sold for the amazing 34 000 000£. From the team of Shakhtar came also players like Elano, Jadson, Ilsinho, Mariusz Lewandowski, Brandao. In the team players like Dario Srna and Razvan Rat were playing also. But there is no doubt that the biggest players which came from this club, including Fernandinho are Douglas Costa (currently playing in Bayern Munich), Luiz Adriano (Spartak Moscow), Alex Teixeira (Jiangsu Suning), Willian (Chelsea, joining Anzhi for 35 million euro).
Totally for the past 5 years Shakhtar Donetsk gained profit from more than 160 million euro from transfers. They are providing world class players but do you know who has the biggest impact in these amazing deals. Mircea Lucescu is the main person, responsible for that. Since he joined the team he started selecting incredible players, who fit extremely well to the European teams and they do not need to acclimatize to the European atmosphere (as you know it is completely different football in Europe than Latin America).
Of course, this is a big dream for every coach to achieve such deals and transfers but with the great agents and scouts all over the world, Shakhtar will continue to produce quality players and signings. They did the first few steps to be a world giant and now they need to start converting everything this in their favor, not only money. In the near future, we believe that this team will turn into some greatness their potential and those money they got from transfers they will put in the club and will start making history.
For reference in the past few years the team from Donetsk won the title 8 times as in the past few seasons they are a huge dominant in Ukraine and in the next couple of years they can move in such club on the European scene. As you know they are a regular participant in the Champions League and they easily go through the group stage. The future of the team is bright and we are seeing them among the top 10 influential teams in the world with their amazing base, policy and infrastructure.
