Is the team from Leipzig still in the battle for the Bundesliga title. Well, the answer of this question is very simple – yes, they are. The facts are such that if Bayern Munich manage to lose 2 more games here in the next 4 remaining games, they are going to lose the title for sure. With one eventual win tonight, the team of Leipzig will collect 64 points and they will be placed on the second position just – 6 points behind the grand from Munich.
RB Leipzig definitely surprised anyone with their performance this season in the Bundesliga as in the past season they were playing in the second echelon of the German football. They did very good games but they had one bad streak in the beginning of the second half of the season where they did some bad losses. Anyway, Bayern Munich are in a bad shape. They have still 4 more games and to be honest the title should not be given to them yet. Leipzig are very dangerous team. They have games against one of the best teams in the Bundesliga, including today away game against Schalke 04 and then they have away game against Hertha Berlin. The real game which is very important for them is against Bayern Munich at home which can turn into a deciding game for the title here. Bayern Munich have huge problems with injured players and their morale at the moment is very low.
All these problems can turn a bad joke to the Munich's team and they might lost the "won" title. Moreover, the team which is managed by Carlo Ancelotti is having one tough game against Borussia Dortmund for the German Cup and they will try to concentrate everything there. It will be interesting how Leipzig will be using all those facts which are certainly perfect for them and their ambitions to chase the title. As we wrote above, Leipzig are having today away game against Schalke. It will be a poor game but we do not think that they will have any problems in taking this game. On Thursday, Schalke had a tough game against Ajax and they won with 3-2 but they were eliminated after 2 goals in the extra time. After this 120 minutes game, we hardly believe that they will have any chances to win this game.
Everything is on the side of Leipzig and with one direct win against Bayern Munich and some good results against Schalke tonight and Ingolstadt, Hertha and Eintracht Frankfurt in the next few weeks, they can be champions of the Germany. Of course, this will be a big surprise and it is not that clear and sure it will happen but we believe that on such odds – 201.00. This is too big for me as with one eventual win tonight – as we wrote earlier – Leipzig will be just 6 points behind the giant – Bayern Munich.
