We do not know how to call last night spectacular clash between the teams of Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers. The game was from the early program in NBA but they did incredible game making total 251 points. Most of you will say that the game was one ordinary game but it was not like that because the home team won the game by just 1 point.
We used to watch the whole game and at one time in the game we thought that Atlanta will not have the needed powers to finish this game with a class and they will lose it with more than 20 points difference. To be honest we were not far from this as at the end of the third quarter the team from Atlanta was losing with 30 points difference. Then it looked like a miracle for them to equalize the score, moreover nothing in their game was successful. Kyrie Irving was playing fantastic and he was almost errorless from everywhere. He finished the game with 45 points. The big star and already the most incredible player for Cleveland – LeBron James did 32 points but he did 10 assists and 16 rebounds with which stats he got another historic triple double.
The game went under the full control from the champions. They were playing astonishing in each phase of the game and just after the third quarter they were leading with 26 points and it looked like that Atlanta will have to climb the mountain if they want to reach them and eventually win this game. But the opening minutes in the last quarter were extremely breath-taking. Atlanta did 9-0 and Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue took a time-out but it was not enough for the team as even after the time-out a few second after it and a great shot from the three points, the Hawks did some fantastic points and they reduced the lead to just 12 points. There was around 7 minutes still to go and nothing was so clear.
Cleveland were playing incredibly poor in the final stages of the game, they managed to allow another scoring streak for Atlanta and the difference was lowered to the miserable 4 points for 105 – 109 – 18 seconds before the end of the regular time. After an accurate executed foul by Cavaliers the difference was 6 points but this does not denied the die-hard team of Atlanta and they did everything possible to equalize the game and they did it. The regular time finished and the score board was showing 111-111.
In the final 5 minutes of Overtime there was one team on the pitch again. This was the team of Atlanta as they even took the lead with 4 points 1 minute before the final whistle. It was very close as at the end LeBron and Kyrie had amazing chances to stop all the drama for this epic game but they did not manage score from not that tough positions. The final whistle came with perfectly executed foul by Cleveland for 126-125 but it was not enough for the team of Lue to win this game and Atlanta totally deserved to win here after they played incredible fourth quarter. We guess that this was the most epic game from this season and we hope that both teams will deservedly play in the play-offs.
